Amazing - I didn't buy any figures this month... a couple of dozen resin bases, some modelling tools and materials but no actual figures!

Not so good, painted a number of the bases but I'm not conting them.

This was a bit of a disappointment as I'd wanted to enter some of my Vor: Growlers in the competition announced here. It looks like Vor may be making a comeback!

Very late and a very slow month for paining... and a pretty terrible one for my pledge...

An eBay Bargain of Dwarf Wars 28mm figures. (96 infantry and 22 cavalry (cav count as 2 figs))

20 Gamezone dwarf miners in various stages of digging their way out of the ground.

Painted : 0

yes... zero... nothing.. naught... nada... zilch... nil...

March Result : -160

OK, so another really slow month - dont worry some time real soon i'll start spending money and then i'll never keep up!

Painting Pledge - Excel

I was spending a few minutes considering my back log of unpainted lead figures (I often find this is more nourishing for the soul than actually painting anything) and I decided that the only way I was going to make any inroads into the moutain was to discipline myself. If i actually knew how much i spent on figures and how little I REALLY painted then perhaps this might shock me into doing more about it and putting time aside etc.

So, to help me demonstrate to myself exactly how squanderous I am with my own valuable time and money I put the whole lot in a spreadsheet. This allows me to record all the figures I have bought each month and the small number I have painted, and then with a suprising array of satistics (some of which I probably dont need) humiliates my meagre painting efforts.

It has no embedded macro's so I assume will be "safe". I accept no responsibility whatsoever for whether its accuracy or any other aspect of its (non)performance. As this is V1-1 it also comes without any help...

I MAY (repeat MAY) get round to updating it or providing further functionality if anyone requests something sensible. Also note however that I am not an Excel expert so am mostly self taught. I am sure there are better ways of doing what I have done here, but I didn't know abut them at the time!!!

Painting Pledge - Jan 08

January draws to a close, and with it episode 1 of 12 in the exciting new miniseries "Paint more figures than you buy".

Or to put it another way, I've promised myself that in order to steadily decrease the unpainted lead mountain and inspired by the pledge on The Miniatures Page I'll... well... paint more figures than I buy - simple really.

5 x Hasslefree Grymn troops (ok so they aren't based or sealed yet but its my game so i'm playing by my rules.)

Ok, so it was a pretty slow month but i'm claiming that as a victory!! Work has been very busy - but at least that means I have less time to buy figures as well as paint them.
